Ad Montem: Eton’s Lost Procession

An exhibition featuring rare surviving costumes, documents from the archive and artworks depicting an extraordinary tradition. Ad Montem shines a light on a centuries-old tradition which saw Eton boys, Old Etonians, local people and even royalty come together in military and ceremonial dress for an event like no other until it ended in 1844.
