As you may know, Heathrow is running a new consultation which will inform its planning application for expansion. The consultation asks for feedback on Heathrow's proposals for the future layout of the airport, and how Heathrow should manage the environmental impacts of expansion, including a proposed Heathrow Ultra Low Emissions Zone, Heathrow Vehicle Access Charge and a proposed 6.5-hour ban on scheduled night flights. The deadline to answer the consultation is 13th September 2019.
I would encourage anyone opposed to the third runway to respond to the consultation by making specific criticisms of the proposals & flagging key issues which Heathrow should resolve. You don't have to answer all the questions, but if its helpful, the No 3rd Runway Coalition (https://www.no3rdrunwaycoalition.co.uk) has provided a guide on how to answer the consultation. You can view it HERE
You can respond via the online form https://aec.heathrowconsultation.com/
or send your comments via email to: email@example.com
You could also send a hard copy response to: Heathrow Community Relations The Compass Centre, Nelson Road, Hounslow, TW6 2GW
ECA have compiled a leaflet which will be distributed throughout Eton during the next 2 weeks together with a response letter for you to copy or simply sign and hand in to the Town Council office.
IT IS NOT A DONE DEAL and we urge you to have your say.
