Jubilee Square Tree

September 21, 2017

The large Sugar Maple tree in Jubilee Square was so badly damaged by the strong winds on September 13th that it wil have to be completely removed, according to the Tree Team at RBWM. It had been hoped that it could be saved after being made safe, but the damage is too extensive. It will be cut down soon, the stump ground out ready for a new tree to be planted there in winter. It is possible that it will now be replaced with a Liquid Amber tree, which provides spectacular leaf colours throughout the year and provides a good canopy for shade in the summer and indeed from rain.
