RBWM Corona Virus update

Here's an update from RBWM about what’s happening in Windsor and across RBWM with closures of libraries etc due to the Corona Virus. Particularly for businesses, but for residents too..

You can keep abreast of local updates at this RBWM web page:

Waste and recycling collections are changing

From Monday 6 April we will be changing our waste collections following staff reductions due to COVID-19. Please see the RBWM information here for full details about how this will affect you. Communal properties will continue to be collected weekly.

This means that your general waste (black bin) will be collected one week and recycling (blue bin) the following week. Those in communal properties will still see both bins collected weekly and food waste collections will remain unchanged for all.

From Wednesday 18 March, we will be closing our offices to the public unless there is a planned appointment booked.

Don’t forget you can report, pay or apply for many services online. If you need to contact us by phone call our customer services team on 01628 683800. If you do call please bear with us as the lines may be busy.

Museums, libraries, children’s centres and youth centres

Royal Borough children’s centre and youth centres are now closed until further notice. All our libraries and museums will also close from 18 March 2020 until further notice. Books can still be returned using the drop boxes outside all buildings and you can also renew books online here. We will also waive any fines accrued during this time. You can still contact the libraries team by telephone on 01628 796969.
