30th March High Street Gas project update

Updated: 4 days ago

Although the High Street Gas works will have to be suspended, our wonderful Gas Works team have been given support by the “powers that be” to continue until they are north of the Eton Court/ Tangier Lane intersections with the High Street ( see green section alongside).

It was the on-site team who pushed to get permission, so that it will be easier for Eton when the break in work happens (because of the Coronavirus restrictions). They are good to Eton!

Richard, the Project Manager, says:

"We have completed our final engineering works today which takes us just past the Tangier Lane junction, for obvious reasons we have had to stop at this point as we have a zero interaction policy in place within tRIIO due to the COVID-19 situation.

We will now focus on completing all reinstatement and clearing the site fully, It is hard at this point to give any further updates on our return but I will update you as soon as anything changes. I have attached a screenshot to show what has been achieved up to this point (green) and also what remains to be completed (amber). This has certainly been a challenging project but one that I feel everyone involved has put a large amount of effort into and I want to personally thank you and everyone involved for your continued support.

A special mention to Bernie and the team onsite who have been the driving force behinds this jobs success "

Keep safe
