Local elections for Eton Town Council that covers both Eton and Eton Wick will take place on May 2nd 2019 and nominations for candidates wishing to stand will need to be submitted by 3rd April 2019. In addition, the Returning Officer will be running an information session for individuals who may be interested in standing for election on Wednesday 27th February at 6pm at the Town Hall in Maidenhead. I encourage anyone wishing to stand for the Town Council attend this information session.

As an Eton Town Councillor you can: • take an interest in issues that affect your area; • represent the views of members of your local community; • have an impact on decisions that affect the lives of those around you; for example you can comment on local planning applications or give your support to community groups in the area; • have a say on how money is spent to benefit your community and local area.

Working as a Town Councillor is done on a voluntary basis. There is no salary or allowance involved but you get the chance to influence the decisions taken to improve services for your local area.
