New Anti-terror barricades for Windsor

As you may have read in this article in the Maidenhead Advertiser last week, permanent anti-terror barriers will be built in Windsor this summer, the council has announced. Temporary security measures were deployed in the town following the Westminster terrorist attacks in March 2017.But the borough has since been working with Thames Valley Police and specialist security consultants to develop permanent designs.The temporary barriers, which are on loan from the Government, have been criticised for their ugly appearance and will be replaced by new black barricades which feature the Royal Borough’s logo. Number 15 Bus disruption

There will be upcoming disruption to the no.15 Bus Service whilst essential works are being carried out on Keate’s Lane. We have been notified that the works will restrict access to Eton Wick from the Keate’s Lane junction. We have been speaking with Courtney Buses and agreed to use a smaller vehicle for the duration of the works following an agreed diversion route along Meadow Lane and South Meadow Lane. However, the issue we will have is when the carriageway is going to be resurfaced and this will prevent the buses from accessing Eton Wick on the 22nd/23rd February 2019 between the hours of 8am and 15:00. Riverside Station Track Works

Local residents have been notified of imminent Track/Platform works at Windsor & Eton Riverside railway station, by Network Rail. This work will largely be performed at night and weekends, and will involve some noise, lighting and disruption between 20th January and 24th March. RBWM - local plan for the Traveller community

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is preparing a Traveller Local Plan which will set out how the accommodation needs of some of the specialised communities in the Borough (Gypsy and Traveller, Travelling Showpeople and boat dweller groups) would be met.
